Newly Qualified Social Worker Programme
Newly Qualified Social Worker programme
The continuing professional development theme of your first year as a professional social worker is one of transition. Our Assisted and Supported Year of Employment (ASYE) programme for Newly Qualified Social Workers provides a robust and supportive introduction to qualified practice. It recognises that social work involves complexity, conflict, emotive situations, challenging decision making and significant responsibility, all in relation to the most vulnerable members of society.
The CPD pathway will support you to practice at the standards described by the Knowledge and Skills Statements (KSS) using Connected Practice methodology via the ASYE programme. The programme acknowledges that you need support, guidance, developmental opportunities and feedback about your practice in order for you to gain confidence and develop your professional skills.
